Our Wedding Invitations from Urbanista Invites

Wedding invites should never be taken for granted. This is one important lesson that we got while we were planning for our wedding. Our initial plan was to make a DIY wedding invitation. But we have started quite a few DIY projects and any additional tasks might not be a good idea. To save ourselves from stress, we decided to look for a supplier who will make it for us. We wanted a simple yet unique design and we entrusted this responsibility to Urbanista Invites. We booked their service during one of the wedding expos in World Trade Center. Their staff were very nice and organized. Everything went smoothly including our communication via email and the delivery of the invitations. We got an accordion invite with an envelop, seal, and a thank you card which costs ₱41 per piece. One factor that made it successful was that we determined what we want including our theme and motiff. From there, we created the design for our wedding invitation.

Our experience in deciding which supplier to get was unexpectedly hard. I was surprised that there were plenty of them to choose from and they definitely made decision making a lot harder. Here are a few standouts:

My Bridal Room at Pan Pacific Manila

I excitedly marked the columns for the church and reception venue with a big and pink check mark indicating that we have already found it. It’s such a rewarding accomplishment but we still have a long way to go. Another major location sitting on our list was the hotel for the wedding preparation. Although everything can now be searched online, we still decided to indulge on an ocular experience for the best bridal room a hotel has to offer.

Our primary concern was choosing the hotel with the best location. It should be in close proximity with both the church and the reception venue. We were also looking for a place which offers great photo opportunities and spacious rooms. Pan Pacific Manila which was the last hotel that we visited has all these plus a lot more. It is a modern 5-star hotel suited not only for weddings but for leisure as well.

My parents and aunts stayed in a Pacific Room for two nights while I booked a Deluxe Suite for two nights as well – wedding preparations for day 1 and honeymoon for day 2. It’s a modern room located at the 16th floor having a King size bed, separate living and dining area, an ensuite bathroom, two flat screen televisions with a wide selection of cable channels, and high-speed internet access. I find this large room with a view of the panoramic Manila skyline perfect for my wedding.

Wedding DIY Craft Projects

Our wedding preparations led us to DIY craft projects. Our only expectation was to save money which we can a lot for something else like a fabulous honeymoon. This objective was well-attained and one good example is our bridal flowers. We grabbed artificial flowers from Andings in Divisoria and turned it into wrist corsages, boutonnieres, and bridal bouquets. Getting a set of bridal flowers from a florist may cost a minimum of P4000 but we only spent P800.

We ended up enjoying DIY crafts that I badly wanted to be nicely done and not something similar to a school project. The internet (…plus our creativity 🙂) was a very dependable resource. Websites such as Pinterest, loverly.ly, and Bride and Breakfast record massive and unique crafting ideas for weddings. It truly inspired me and right now I feel that I still want more and I am not yet done with it!

Let me showcase our DIY craft projects for our weding!

Getting the Perfect Church for My Wedding

After choosing the date of our wedding, deciding where the ceremonies shall take place was the next thing we should get right. We considered several factors including the location, price, and the appearance of the church. We just wanted a simple church in Manila instead of Tagaytay or Batangas so getting there for most of our guests will be a breeze. In addition to these, we were searching for a church with a striking look in a price that’s just within our budget.

We decided to have our big day at St. Vincent de Paul and choosing it wasn’t hard. My husband who was then my fiancé is an Alumni of Adamson University which was just in front of the church. He used to go there to either pray or hear the mass. The memorable past that it holds led us to make a reservation for a September 2015 wedding.

My Wedding Suppliers

“Basta simpleng wedding lang pero bonggang honeymoon….” – This has always been the way I put things every time I imagine myself entering a new chapter of a woman’s life. But when it was my turn to prepare for my big day, I realized “Isang beses lang naman ako ikakasal……”. We had 18 months to put together some of the best wedding suppliers. Life was generous with the amount of time given to us to attend bridal fairs, browse the internet, and make decisions. It was very challenging but I was certainly ecstatic with the whole wedding preparation. It was like luxury not available to everyone.

What we’ve experienced including what we spent was no big joke but it’s all worth it. I was the first one who got married in the family and the event created memories. I wouldn’t see them happy together if it wasn’t for the wedding. I felt that it was not only my big day but theirs as well so we really tried our best to make a well-planned wedding. Although in reality there’s no perfect wedding. There’s only a grateful Groom and Bride who entrust everything to God, family, friends and of course the suppliers. Here’s the list of our wedding suppliers:

For the shoes and jewelry which was bought in a department store, we wanted something that we could still use even after the wedding. But I guess the only thing that can be used regularly is my Groom’s shoes. The other stuff that we needed was given by our relatives.
